A quarterly peer-reviewed scientific journal concerned with humanities studies, issued by the College of Education for Human Sciences, Al-Muthanna University, Iraq. Established in 2008 under the name ‘Uruk Journal’, it initially published research across all scientific and humanities disciplines. In 2011, the journal specialized in human sciences and was renamed ‘Uruk Journal for Human Sciences’, covering Arabic language, English language, history, geography, philosophy, political science, law, psychological and educational sciences, religious studies, and sociology. The journal publishes four issues per year and employs a double-blind peer review system to ensure the quality of submitted research. It publishes papers in both Arabic and English, compiled into a single annual volume, while providing open access to all published research articles. The journal is indexed in the Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals (IASJ) and registered in the CrossRef (DOI) database.
