Abstract
May God bless him. The aim of the research is to show the importance of the Hijaziyyat in the poetry of Al-Sarasri (d. 656 AH), as an objective equivalent (1) by which our poet expresses what is going on in his soul of conflicting emotions and burning longing for the beloved. Al-Sarasri took the journey and the names of its contents, and the Hijazi lands it passes through as a symbolic equivalent derived from the depth of the imagination of Sufi thought of which our poet was a part. From it came Hijazi love letters, making longing its guide and his spiritual struggles its camel.
