Abstract
The purpose of the current study is to identify the metacognitive experience among university students and to identify self-efficacy among university students, and whether there is a relationship between metacognitive experience and self-efficacy among university students. Based on the above, a metacognitive trait scale was adopted, and a tool was adopted to measure self-efficacy. The researcher verified the validity and reliability of these two scales and analyzed their paragraphs statistically. A sample of (200) male and female students from Al-Muthanna University for the academic year 2015 participated in the research, chosen by a stratified random method. The research results showed a relationship between metacognitive experience and self-efficacy among university students. The researcher then presented a set of 2016 recommendations and suggestions for subsequent research.
