Abstract
The study concluded that both Iraqi families, distinguished by their lineage, prestige, intellectual and political wealth, trace their lineage back to our noble Prophet Muhammad. They are two Arab families, may God bless them and grant them peace, who trace their lineage back to the noble Prophet, whose noble lineage goes back to Adnan, whose lineage goes back to the Prophet of God, Ishmael, son of Abraham, the friend of God. It also became clear that both families followed the Naqshbandi order, which is one of the Sufi orders that the two families spread in the Hijaz, their original homeland, and then in the cities of northern Iraq. Moreover, among the most important positions held by the men of these two families were the position of Mufti, which is the position of Sheikh of Islam during the Ottoman era, and the position of Judge. Both positions represented the religious aspect for the members of Iraqi society.
