Arab maps are a bright spot in our Arab geographical heritage, as the Arabs were one of the earliest nations to know the seas due to their expertise in astronomy navigation. The Arabs' antiquity in practicing maritime activity indicates their antiquity in drawing marine maps, which were known as (al-Qambas) or (al-Qanbas), and their use in scientific navigational fields. They are of great importance because of the information and correct directions they contain to guide ships at sea. Keywords: Maritime maps, Arab geographical thought
