السمات الجيومورفولوجية في حوض وادي الساورة
Abstract
The study aims to identify the geomorphological forms in the Saura Valley Basin and the processes that led to the formation of these forms and to draw a geomorphological map of the study area. The area of the Saura Valley Basin is (239.83) km2, which is considered one of the seasonal flow valleys, which originates from Mount Batarkhin and flows southward until it empties into Lake Dokan. By studying the area in the field, various landforms were found distributed over the area of the study area. The study showed the variation of geomorphological processes, which was reflected in the resulting landforms. These forms were classified according to these processes into several types, namely structural-erosion landforms, erosion landforms, sedimentary landforms, landforms resulting from dissolution processes, in addition to landforms resulting from the movement of earth materials.
