واقع الخدمات التعليمية في مدينة الرميثة وبناء نموذج الملاءمة المكانية لها باستخدام نظم المعلومات الجغرافية (GIS)
Abstract
Geography is experiencing a massive information revolution that is difficult to navigate and utilize without the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology. This is achieved through the ability to perform multiple functions in managing, processing, analyzing, storing, and retrieving data and information, as well as the ability to update and link data and information together, and accurately produce results in various formats. Decision-makers can rely on this technology to address many of the problems presented, particularly those related to educational services. This research came in three sections preceded by an introduction. The first section presented the reality of educational services in the city of Rumaitha and their spatial distribution. It was evident in this regard that there is a small number of school buildings compared to the number of schools that occupy them, in addition to the unfairness of their distribution at the level of residential neighborhoods. The second section discussed the evaluation of their functional efficiency according to local standards, and it was found that there is a negative discrepancy between them and those standards. The third section was concerned with building a model of spatial suitability for educational services to determine the best areas suitable for their establishment. It was found that there is a large area of the city center neighborhoods with low spatial suitability for establishing educational services, in addition to the northern and western areas of the city, while the Mustafa, Al-Jawadain and Al-Hakim neighborhoods recorded high spatial suitability, in addition to some other parts of the city.
