مدينة توديلا الأندلسية (94-511هـ / 712-1117م)
Abstract
The city of Tudela is located in the upper Andalusian border, north of the city of Zaragoza. It was conquered by the leader Musa ibn Nusayr in the year 712 AD, and many Arab tribes settled there since then. The city gained its importance because it was a border area adjacent to the Christian Spanish states, which made it an arena for the Islamic-Christian conflict. Despite this, Islamic rule continued for about four centuries, as it fell into the hands of the Christians in the year 1117 AD. The research dealt with the historical geography of the city of Tudela and its economic importance, then its conquest and the most important political and military events that it witnessed during the days of Arab-Islamic rule. Then it shed light on its role in the intellectual movement in Andalusia and its most important scholars and their contributions to various sciences.
