Abstract
Self-regulated learning is one of the most prominent topics addressed by theorists and specialists in educational psychology. The importance of self-regulated learning lies in modeling student learning and providing opportunities for continuous learning by increasing learner autonomy and activity. A self-regulated learner possesses the ability to monitor their own performance and is focused on learning for the sake of learning. Learning is more effective when it helps learners achieve goals independently, know the methods, and choose the strategies they will follow when dealing with topics. This, in turn, helps reduce distraction, increase self-confidence, boost motivation, and enhance the ability to concentrate, all of which impacts the quality of learning.
