فاعلية استراتيجية معالجة المعلومات في تحصيل مادة جغرافية الوطن العربي واستبقائها لدى طلاب الصف الثاني المتوسط
Abstract
The effective use of geography teaching depends on specialized skills in collecting, acquiring, developing, and applying information in new educational situations. This is represented in the ability to formulate the specialized strategy necessary to process and apply information, as well as the ability to think about the information and facts presented by different geography topics. (Al-Masoudi, 129, (2013) The teaching of geography in our schools is almost a theoretical research that relies on traditional teaching methods. This indicates the inadequacy of traditional teaching in increasing students' academic achievement. In addition, it lacks the use of modern educational technologies and appropriate teaching skills, which has made the educational process merely a matter of indoctrination and memorization of geographical information and facts rather than absorbing and understanding them. This weakness is supported by educational conferences and research, including the 15th Scientific Educational Conference held at Al-Mustansiriya University in 2013, which recommended the need to pay attention to and expand the use of modern strategies in teaching to prepare a good teacher capable of increasing the academic achievement of his students (Al-Mustansiriya University (102, (2013).
