Abstract

Historians have been generous with the pearls that have matured in their minds, which have been lined up together to form a scientific legacy that has documented the country's history with its joys and sorrows, so that later generations have taken an interest in studying what their predecessors overlooked. Studying natural disasters and their impact on the country is a matter of great importance, and perhaps the studies provided by the country's geographers and historians are sufficient to achieve that importance. However, focusing on the positions of the legislative authority and the interaction of its components with the challenges of nature has not been established in an accurate study, except in this effort entitled "Euphrates Floods in the Discussions of the Iraqi Parliament 1925-1943 AD." Perhaps we hope through it to open closed doors from which our successors can draw, as we did with our predecessors.
