الهجرة الجماعية الأرمنية إلى إيران في عهد الشاه عباس الأول 1587-1629 م
Abstract
Shah Abbas I began his rule by defining the framework of the state system and its centrality by utilizing as much as possible the experience of the local population of the Safavid state, as well as the population of the regions neighboring his state, specifically the Armenian highlands and its cities. Armenia was distinguished by its societies with economic and social capacity, driven by the desire to secure the northern borders of his state from the expansion of the Ottoman state, which felt threatened by Shah Abbas I and his targeting of its economic and population capabilities after he attracted some of its citizens, merchants and craftsmen, to benefit from them in his capital, Isfahan. He followed a military plan through which he wanted to empty the population content of those regions to cut off the supply that the Ottomans would depend on if they expanded into those regions.
