Abstract
Antithesis is a rhetorical phenomenon that comes to confirm meaning. It has been of interest to logicians and philosophers because of its close connection to existence and the universe, and the relationship of man to them in his quest for a state of certainty. The poet relied on it in his elegy for his grandmother, to describe his condition as a result of this loss, which he stood helpless before, and his feeling of sadness, pain and bitterness of loss. The experience is real, and thus the emotion is sincere, strong and overflowing with meanings and ideas in which the emotional direction is manifested.
