الرواية الجزائرية في عيون النقد الغربي من خلال مجلة Œuvres et critique
Abstract
Modern Algerian literature has renewed many literary genres, including the novel, which has reached a high level in terms of form and content, philosophical stance and artistic principles. This has attracted Western criticism, which has focused in most studies on the novel written in French. In our study, we focused on the criticism of the works and criticisms contained in the magazine "Œuvres et critique." There are many studies in this issue that have dealt with the Algerian novel compared to the Maghrebi novel, given that the Algerian novel written in French has received the attention of Western criticism for ideological reasons. The French left supported Algerian writers because they were writing about their revolution against French imperialism, and thus their support for these writers is an indication of the extreme right's injustice towards colonized peoples. Soviet criticism took the same position, as it supported Algerian writers and considered their texts an accurate description of the tragedy experienced by Algeria under brutal colonialism.
