Abstract
Our choice of this novel was linked to its wide resonance and spread, which succeeded in conveying the rhythm of the Iraqi era not only to the Arab reader, but its message extended to other languages and cultures, after it was able to win the Arabic Booker Prize. This novel represents an aesthetic artistic structure that carries the Iraqi concern and pain, and the rhythm of the time of death that cast its shadows on the lives of Iraqis as they move and live within its tensions.
