دور منهج العلوم في تعزيز المواطنة في المرحلة الابتدائية من وجهة نظر معلمي العلوم
Abstract
The research aimed to identify the role of the science curriculum in promoting citizenship in the primary stage from the point of view of science teachers. The research community consisted of science teachers in the primary stage in Al-Qadisiyah Governorate for the academic year 2014-2015, numbering 243. The researcher randomly selected (100) teachers from them as a sample for the research. The questionnaire was used as a research tool, consisting of 30 paragraphs in three areas (cognitive, skills, values and attitudes) after verifying their validity and reliability. The percentages, average and standard deviation were used as statistical means. The researcher concluded that the science curricula in the primary stage are rich in concepts of national education, but there are shortcomings in some of them, and emphasis on the practical application of activities related to the national sense and highlighting the role of Iraqi scientists in the scientific movement. The researcher recommended some recommendations and proposals.
