التباين المكاني لتغير المناخ في مناطق الجفاف في العراق: دراسة مقارنة لعدد من المعايير
Abstract
Studying drought conditions and their spatial distribution is one of the most important approaches for determining the current hydrological situation in any region of the world. Furthermore, it provides a detailed picture of the environmental situation. Drought is one of the most serious phenomena characterizing arid and semi-arid environments, such as the study area. Scientific evidence indicates that Iraq experiences varying degrees of drought both spatially and temporally, due to a combination of factors, primarily climate change, which manifests as extreme variations in several climatic elements, particularly rising temperatures. The problems and impacts of drought have prompted those working in the fields of climate, water resources, agriculture, and other related areas to pay close attention to these serious issues, whose negative effects on the environment are felt both in the short and long term.
