النمو السكاني ومشكلة السكن في مدينة السماوة 2012-2025
Abstract
The study of population growth and its annual rates, as well as its spatial and temporal variations, is an important topic of interest for specialists in human geography. This is due to the fact that this phenomenon is linked to numerous problems, particularly in developing countries, such as unemployment, poverty, inadequate services, and shortages of food and housing. The residential function is a significant aspect of land use and represents one of the key functions of cities. It provides housing to residents in designs and styles that reflect the level of societal development, and given the large area it occupies, it shares in shaping the urban landscape along with other land uses. This study recognizes the vital importance of the residential function in the city, as housing is one of the most fundamental human needs, essential for individuals and families alike. Residential units provide residents with social, health, and economic benefits.
