Abstract

This study aims to analyze the examination questions for the Arabic language department courses based on Marzano's framework of learning dimensions. The study found the following results: The examination questions for all four academic levels primarily focused on the skill of recall, followed by comparison. In contrast, the skills of reasoning and elaboration ranked last, ninth and tenth, respectively. The researchers concluded that the exam question designers placed excessive emphasis on the skills of recall, representation, comparison, and classification, neglecting to ensure a balanced representation of the cognitive abilities outlined in Marzano's framework of learning dimensions.
