Abstract
The sense of justice is one of the foundations of people's sense of security, because it enables individuals to perceive their physical and social environment as stable and orderly. Without this sense of fairness, which serves a regulatory function, it becomes difficult for individuals to commit to pursuing long-term goals. People tend to believe that positive outcomes, such as wealth, success, and happiness, are reserved for good people, while those who are considered bad inevitably receive negative outcomes as their just punishment. (Apsler & Friedman, 1975, 887) The feeling of injustice tends to persist over long periods, becoming one of the most stable characteristics of an individual's cognitive life, often accompanied by an emotional state. This feeling is usually organized within systems related to topics such as attitudes, values, religion, and politics, thus forming part of an individual's ideology (Lindzey et al., 1975, p. 298). Recognizing injustice motivates individuals to try to change the situation.
