Abstract
This research aims to identify the population growth rates in Muthanna Governorate and the factors that led to variations in these rates over time and across different locations during the period 1977-2012. The research hypothesized that population growth rates in Muthanna Governorate varied during the study period and also varied geographically across districts and sub-districts due to specific influencing factors. The research methodology employed an analytical approach to measure population growth rates and project future trends, using data provided by the Ministry of Planning and Development Cooperation. The study concluded that population growth in the governorate varied both over time and across different districts and administrative units.
