Abstract
Some widely used terms and concepts, which at first glance appear clear and unambiguous, may be somewhat ambiguous and confusing. Therefore, they are more in need of research and study to redefine their basic theoretical premises, intellectual features, and procedural foundations, and to clarify areas of ambiguity. This may even necessitate the formulation of a new classification based on the accumulated knowledge gained through objective experience in dealing with these concepts and terms. The reason for this ambiguity and confusion may lie in the prevalence of these concepts and terms and their being considered self-evident, with no need to delve into them unless their general foundations are unacceptably or unjustifiably deviated from. Perhaps the term "method" and the concept it entails are among the most important of these terms, and their widespread use has led some researchers and readers to assume that they are clear, obvious, or even self-evident.
