موقف رئاسة مجلس الشيوخ من الأحداث والتطورات الداخلية في العراق
Abstract
The period from 1935 to 1958, which followed Iraqi independence, is characterized by political instability and featured by competition between notable political personalities over the issue of undertaking power which consequently resulted in continued technological changes, too many parliamentary dissolutions and disorders in the country's internal conditions. This competition was intensified and strengthened after the death of King Faisal I in 1933 and shortly after the inauguration of King Ghazi and a struggle over power began within the leading elite. Tribes intervened in the struggle as the politicians used tribal chiefs to achieve their ends and that made Iraq come into a period of disputes, disturbances, military coups, army involvement in politics and then the national uprisings which had an impact on the national November movement as it paved the way for the revolution against the Monarchy regime when parties joined their efforts with the national forces in order to enlighten people and explain truths and there was the leap of 1948 which came as a result of Portsmouth treaty, 1952 uprising which called for direct election and 1956 uprising following the triple aggression on Egypt. They were events that turned balances as the national forces proved themselves, their ability to change and their rejection for every attempt to ignore their rights and existence
