Abstract

It seems that the traditional poem offers a new reading each time, making its recipient sip from its sweet water the foundations of beauty it contains, and to stand in contemplation to sense the depth of this aesthetic tool and retrieve the voice to reach the sources of creativity within it, following the steps of mastery and kindness to it, for poetry is the Arabs’ collection and the ultimate source of their virtue. Based on this understanding related to the extent of the abundance of ancient production in terms of style, art and language, this study came to address the reading of three texts by Dhu al-Rummah, Ibn Muqbil and Jarir, which were gathered by one nucleus - the focus from which these texts developed on the one hand, and the rhythm on the other hand. Reading the texts in comparison required that the study be divided into three sections. The first: delved into the structural analysis based on fixed levels in structural analysis, which are the syntactic level, the rhetorical level and the musical level. As for the second section, it turned towards the stylistic reading that is concerned with processing written texts and focuses on the phenomenon of linguistics, and examines the foundations of beauty on which the text is based to confirm that stylistics was not new except in its form and that it has its roots in a long time, while the third section came to address the psychological reading, which the research intended to be a mirror in which the poet’s psychology and images of his feelings and his relationship with those around him and his connection to them are reflected. The research also included a conclusion in which I summarized the most important results it reached.
