Abstract
The term "composition" is known in the Arabic language. It corresponds to the singular, and in Arabic grammar it is a branch, while the singular is the root. Compounding in the Arabic language is known in the three divisions of speech. There is no difference in nominal compounds, as they are compounds of addition, attribution, and compounds of mixing. Compounding in some verbs has been weakly said, such as "ḥabbaḍha", a verb composed of "ḥab" and "that". As for compounds in the third division of speech, which is the letter, there is disagreement among grammarians about it, which we found in the letters that have been said to be composed. In my research entitled "Letters of Compound Meanings According to Grammarians Between the Authorities of Compounding and the Root", I preferred the view of the simplicity of these letters. This is because the origins that entered into the composition of some of these compounds are disputed among grammarians, and because some of them have more than one use and meaning, so composition is attributed to a certain use and meaning, and simplicity to another use and meaning; So that Arabic grammar is free from some of the differences of opinion that burden it and to make it easier for the reader and learner.
