أوضاع الطبقة العاملة في إيران في عهد الشاه محمد رضا بهلوي 1941-1979م
Abstract
During the reign of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (1941-1979), the Iranian working class experienced harsh conditions and greatly struggled to achieve their legitimate rights, similar to the rights of workers in other countries. The Iranian Communist Tudeh Party stood with the working class in demanding their rights during and after World War II, and the working class in Iran participated in the most prominent political events witnessed by the country, such as the oil nationalization movement led by Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh (1951-1953). The working class was then destined to witness a revival in the 1970s, especially after the rise in oil prices in 1973, and their situation became better than before that. However, the country’s suffocating economic crisis in 1976 brought the situation of the Iranian working class back to square one, forcing them to resort to continuous strikes in order to obtain their rights. The workers contributed greatly to the overthrow of the Pahlavi regime later on.
