Abstract
Taha Hussein turned to the recipient, so he resorted to analysis and explanation to convince the recipient's mind; as he transferred the critical process from emotion to reason in all his critical approaches while following the method of explanation, historical, impressionistic, psychological, or philosophical approaches, or during his comparisons between writers. We can say - with impartiality - that Taha Hussein's criticisms constituted a revolution that overturned critical concepts among Arabs at the beginning of the twentieth century. The proverb says: People do not differ on anything except that it is great, and the difference of people from specialists and others in (criticism) of Taha Hussein indicates his distinction and high status. There is no doubt that Taha Hussein's critical fingerprints remain present in most critical works that agree and disagree with his thought, because he established and created the academic critical method crystallized in modern Arab criticism.
