Abstract
Population maps are an important means of clarifying the spatial variation of the population between different geographical areas, as well as their ability to convert statistical data into graphic forms through which comparisons can be made between different geographical areas to represent them, clarify the spatial relationships associated with them and then extract the results resulting from them. Therefore, this research sought to demonstrate the importance of the quantitative map in showing the reality of the spatial distribution of the population of the city of Samawah and to demonstrate the best cartographic methods for representing it. In order to achieve this, the research included two chapters preceded by an introduction.
