Abstract
The research aims to identify the law applicable to licensing contracts for the exploitation of authors' financial rights in the absence of a law of will. The researcher used descriptive, analytical, and comparative methods. The research consisted of an introduction and two sections; the first section included: determining the applicable law according to the conflict of laws approach in licensing contract disputes under national laws, and the second section addressed: determining the applicable law according to the conflict of laws approach in licensing contract disputes under comparative laws, the Max Planck European Group “CLIP,” and the principles of the American Law Institute “ALI.” The research concluded with a summary that included the most important findings and recommendations.
