Abstract
The Islamic Khilafat movement in India in 1919AD is considered a result of the division of the Ottoman Empire after its defeat in the first world war(1914_1918AD) by Allied powers.The movement demanded the preservation of the authority of the Ottaman Epire and the from division, as it represents a symbol of unity and the only Islamic power.In the world, it also worked to preserve the holy Islamic places(the Arabian peninsula, Iraq, Palestine, Syria)from coloization, and to keep those areas under authority of the Ottoman
