Abstract
The Afghan People's Democratic Party emerged as a result of the development of the mentality of a group of Afghan intellectuals for a better future for their people. The party adopted Marxist ideology, without taking into account the needs of the Afghan tribal community. These and other mistakes quickly led to the undermining of the party's position in society.
