Abstract
There are many and varied determinants of the urban expansion of the city, including natural and human ones. The city of Samawah is one of the cities whose growth is determined in certain directions and extended towards other directions. Samawah Cement Factory played a role in defining the directions of urban expansion of the city towards the southeast direction, which prompted the city to expand towards the north, northwest and south directions to compensate for the narrow space in the southeast.
