Abstract
Drug crimes in Iraq have two important dimensions, the security dimension and the environmental dimension, because of the security and environmental risks and problems caused by these crimes through the sponsoring countries that affect Iraqi human security, by weakening the security services and then weakening the state for the purpose of achieving geopolitical and geostrategic projects, in addition to Exploiting arable lands and converting them into drug farms, as is the case in the governorates (Salah al-Din, Erbil, Wasit, Karbala, Baghdad, Anbar, Qadisiyah, Diyala), which have become drug-producing, which constitutes a real threat to the state and its strength, and then it became humiliated as a result Because of the security challenges resulting from these crimes, such as the spread of murders, rape, theft, and the exacerbation of the phenomenon of terrorism, in addition to the environmental damage resulting from the conversion of arable land into fallow lands and its exploitation for the cultivation of drugs, and the consumption of quantities of water, Whether for drug farms or those that are polluted by the outputs of drug production factories.
