Abstract
The phenomenon of the deterioration of urban areas has become one of the most prominent problems that urban centers suffer from. As a result of the rapid urbanization movement witnessed by the cities of the world, its poor planning and its failure to keep pace with economic and social developments, deteriorating residential areas appeared spreading within the city and its outskirts, lacking the necessities of life. It suffers from neglect and poor service provision and is not consistent with the reality of the city and its urban image, and therefore it has become a source of social, economic and environmental problems that threaten the city’s residents.
