Abstract
The importance of the research comes in revealing the reality of the spatial distribution of government hospitals in the city of Samawah and knowing the extent of their spatial suitability and efficiency and the amount of coverage for the population according to their spatial distribution in order to determine the amount of excess and deficit according to local planning standards. The results of the study showed a deficit in hospital services and their spatial distribution in the city of Samawah, As a result, there was a relative imbalance between hospitals and the size of the population served, which recorded a lack of service according to local planning standards, which resulted in varying scope of service, low numerical efficiency, and a low degree of spatial adequacy in the city of Samawah.
