Abstract
The study aims to show the criteria of hierarchy and scientific capital in the field of sociology in Iraqi universities, and we have questioned three main questions: what does the scientific title as a socio-calendar rank relate to the scientific fame of professors, what does the scientific title have to do with scientific authority, and finally the relationship of the scientific title to scientific publication?, and the research of these questions required the use of a mean sample consisting of (20) academic professors in the sociology departments of Iraqi universities. The study found that the relational-varying impact between scientific title (Rank) as a differential criterion and scientific capital according to indicators (scientific fame, authority, scientific dissemination) was clarified.
