Abstract

The study revealed that there is a change in the hydrological characteristics of the river and that the water discharge varies temporally and spatially. It is noted through the study from 1970-2021 that the discharge rate of the Euphrates River recorded the highest rate of discharge during the period 1972-1981 at an amount of 340 m3 / sec and then begins to decrease in recent years until In the period 2012-2021, it reached 23 m3 / sec. The percentage of TDS salts varied during the period from 2000-2020 and gradually increased, reaching in the year 2000 about 1800 mg / liter, the percentage of dissolved salts, while it increased in the year 2020 to 2532 mg / liter.
