Abstract
The study concluded, evaluating the level of noise intensity in the study area, by diagnosing the noise-causing sources due to the multiplicity of human activities in the city using a device (Sound Level Meter) model [As-M524] of American origin. The Sound Level Meter Lutron As - M524 was calibrated over a sensitivity range of [130 - 30] dB. As for the second, it was measured according to the type of noise source. When measuring road and traffic noise, a location was chosen on the side of the road, and in the case of traffic intersections, the center of the intersection is taken as a location to measure the noise level. As for the noise of residential neighborhoods, the researcher walks in the residential neighborhood until the device’s reading of the noise level is stable.
