Abstract

This research is based on monitoring, inventorying and exploring the linguistic and semantic meanings of the two terms (makeen and maknoun). The linguistic meanings have been monitored in many dictionaries. As for the Qur’anic expression, it had several meanings. The word (makeen) appeared in the Holy Qur’an in four places. their meanings And one of its meanings was (the able-bodied, the powerful, the saying with a high position and status), while the word (the hidden) was mentioned in the Qur’anic expression in four places as well, and its semantic meanings (transparency, beauty and serenity) The study came in three sections, the first (explaining the concept of the two words linguistically and idiomatically), while the second section was (discovering the significance of the word (makin) in the Qur’anic expression), and the third was marked with (the meaning of the word hidden in the Qur’anic context), and the study ended with a conclusion containing the most important results.
