Abstract

The geographical location of many countries is of geostrategic importance due to the great impact on the economic, political and social life of these countries, as well as its clear impact on the geopolitical weight. The study discovered a number of results, the most prominent of which was the geostrategic location of the State of Libya because of its influential role in the strength of the Libyan state, as it extends with a sea coast with a length of 1900 km. The study revealed that the Libyan state enjoys natural geographic characteristics, which qualifies it to be a force with distinct political weight in its regional and international surroundings, if it handles and conducts itself well with those characteristics. On the regional and international interference and conflict over it, which made it a fragile and disjointed state in light of the interventions and the intersection of international interests. The study also showed that the Libyan state, with its area, which constitutes (12.56%) of the area of ​​the Arab world (14 million km2), is one of the most important countries that enjoys geographical positional advantages. Geostrategic in a sensitive area to settle accounts and the conflict of international wills, which made it within the range of regional and international actors that tampered with Its decision was to change the Libyan regime and replace it with a new government, which devastated the Libyan security and instability within the state.
