Abstract
Domination is one of the concepts that overlapped with life in its different manifestations, and the literary arena, one of the manifestations that was drawn within the domination, and inevitably we will distance ourselves from the trinity (author, text, reader) that follow authority through a phenomenon and monitored by the literary text, so we seduced in a way of monitoring it, this phenomenon is the religious dominance appeared in extreme manifestations in its treatment of humans and existence, it is a natural results to misconception to the religious heritage that is read according to slight intellectual readings which enables the self to have the absolute truth, it is the religious narcissism, its aim to be hegemon and dominant in relation to exclude the deferent partner, and the poet of one of those who travel to the cultural and religious heritage through language to find similarity between incidents that is stuck in the human recollection to express the living situation, the poet’s utility to folkloric symbols that is features by being both the victim and the aggressor, it comes to describe the attitude of the authority whereby society is suffering from. And this is what results from the questioning the Iraqi poet al-Samawi’s poetic texts.
