Abstract
Environmental literary criticism appeared as a result of the repercussions of the environmental crisis and its destructive effects on the earth, which were caused by man and his excessive consumerism and industrialization, until the earth’s resources were depleted and the environment was polluted. The emergence of environmental criticism was an attempt to restore harmony between nature and humanity, as a result because literature intersects with the environment, in a relentless pursuit of developing ecological relations between humans and non-humans in the environment that includes them. So that literary criticism of the environment is composed of overlapping between different fields, which contributed to its formation
