Abstract
The research aims to study the climatic characteristics and their impact on poultry farming in Al-Muthanna Governorate, which is one of the important factors affecting animal production, especially poultry for meat, as its impact is not limited to the climate only in spatial variance, but also controls the quality and quantity of production, as it has a prominent role in preparing some Endemic diseases that affect poultry raised in the study area, such as bird flu and respiratory infection, which most negatively affects the reality of production in the study area. The research study also showed that climatic characteristics represented by (solar radiation (light), temperature, wind speed) Ventilation), relative humidity, and rain) have a direct and indirect effect on the life of poultry in the governorate, as the study area falls within the desert climate, which is characterized by its low rainfall and long, hot and drier summers. The research relied on collecting climatic data for the great climatic cycle for the period (1988-2018), in addition to collecting data represented in the number of poultry fields in the study area.
