Abstract
The study aims to shed light on the direct effects of wind erosion on the features of the earth’s surface in the study area west of Karbala governorate, which lies between latitudes (6 ̿.(27) ̅.32˚) in the north and (8 ̿.(27) ̅.32˚) in the south, and between longitudes ((55) ̿.(22) ̅.43˚) in the west, and (2 ̿.(49) ̅.43˚) in the east, through their relationship to some geomorphological phenomena that exist in the region, and the identification On the geomorphological forms resulting from wind erosion, and the forms resulting from wind deposition, and the effect of soil properties on these forms that were formed by the action of winds in the region, and the detection of sandy sediments through volumetric analysis of these sediments, and then identifying the movement of sand dunes and knowing their spatial and spatial variation In the area, and to identify the shape of sand grains, as it was found through the field study of the area that there is an activity of the process of wind erosion, by monitoring the places of its activity, which created parts of the area affected by even wind activity, in addition to the practice of erosion of the lower erosion on a group of rocks in the area.
