Abstract

This research dealt with the effect of violence on the deviation of the behavior of the Iraqi individual, by studying the personality in its appearance, ways of thinking, and its style in dealing with others, and comparing this personality with normal, normal personalities, as the natural personality has an entity consisting of a name that has a meaning, one soul, and a body to which the personality belongs, and ideas and visions that it believes in. The personality and all of this is unlike the personality of the hero, as he has no name, visions, and fixed ideas, even his body is made up of a group of body parts of people of different ages, genders, affiliations, and intellectual and religious inclinations. Moreover, the human soul is a mass of emotions and feelings, while we notice that the character of the hero (Al-Shasma) is devoid of any feelings, as he is not affected by the separation of those close to him, nor does he express any emotion towards their death or abandonment of him. This novel was characterized by frequent resorting to illogical solutions, as a result of illogical problems, as the quality of the outputs is equal to the inputs. That is, whenever the reasons are illogical, the results are also unstable and illogical, as they are not based on logic. We often see the personality in a direction contrary to the direction in which it was previously and without a convincing reason. Everything in this novel is a deviation from the current and accepted standard. In this narration, we see a category of men who believe in matters of divination and magic, and this is contrary to the prevailing view in society that women are more inclined to these things than men. Women did not have an important and prominent role in the events of the novel. This novel focused on presenting different models for men, each of them with a mentality and from a different environment from the other, which
