دراسة استخدام طلاب الجامعات العراقية الذين يدرسون اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية للمصطلحات الصرفية الرئيسية
Abstract
The current study investigates the Iraqi college learners' abilities to handle morphological terms as a main part of EFL learners' grammatical competence. In this study, morphological terms are classified into two types: General Morphological Terms and Word-Formation Terms. It is worth mentioning that this study is restricted to the morphological terms that are of concern to the EFL university students because such terms represent rather important part of grammar, than minor concepts and details. After surveying such terms, the researcher devised a questionnaire prepared for a representative sample of (100) Iraqi EFL college students randomly chosen from the 3rd year stage (academic year 2021-2022) in the Department of English, College of Education for Human Sciences, Al Muthanna University, Iraq with the purpose of investigating those learners' abilities in this respect.
