Abstract
This study aimed at identifying the attitudes of the Sudan Open University (OUS) students towards the application of electronic tests, and the constraints that accompany their application, using descriptive approach. The study administered a questionnaire which was distributed electronically; together with a printed version, to a random sample of (411) subjects, representing (6%) of the study population. The study population is (6533) in eight branches of the university in the academic year (2018/2019). The results of the study are as follows: OUS students have a very positive attitude towards both the availability of the University’s infrastructure and their skills and abilities to deal with the computer for the application of electronic tests. The results also have shown that the students have a high satisfaction rate and positive attitudes in their desire to sit for electronic tests in the future. However, many obstacles due to computer malfunction and the need for pre-training before administering the test with the application of electronic tests. The study recommends the need to standardize electronic tests applications in all branches of the university, and to train new students on the patterns of solving electronic tests well in advance before seating students for the tests.
