Abstract

The research aims to study traffic accidents in Iraq for the year 2020. They constitute a humanitarian, economic and social problem. The research was based on the data of the Ministry of Planning, the Central Bureau of Statistics, and the data of the Ministry of Health and Environment. The research found that collision accidents constitute the first place with a percentage of (42%), followed by run-over accidents by (41%), then overturning accidents by (15%), and other accidents recorded at low rates.
