Abstract
Residential movement means a change of residence within the city’s administrative boundaries or internal urban migration of the city’s residents. The phenomenon of residential movement is one of the distinguishing features of cities and urban life due to its close association with urban planning, general trends for the growth of cities, and the change in population distribution. The current study aims to: understand the reality of the housing movement within the city in terms of patterns and trends of this movement, shed light on the most important causes, and identify the rates and types of housing. Mobility in the city of Samawa, and to achieve this, was benefited from the data of a residential and population survey that includes (37068) Families (residential units), and the questionnaire distributed to the study samples was used to collect data about a study.
