Abstract
The Study dealt with the impact of erosion processes on the land roads in Dhi Qar Govemorate, as it showed that the roads suffer from many problems, including the erosion, cracks and subsidence, due to the natural factor represented in the natural characteristics of the area, including (geologicals structure, climatic characteristics, soil), and the land roads may suffer One of these problems is the result of water erosion processes, in which the climate and soil factor play a role in activating and exacerbating these processes The study showed that the properties of the soil of the region of riverine origin are heterogeneous in their properties, as it is a mixture of alluvial clay soil that contains high levels of salts (calcium sulfate, carbonate and gypsum).
